Mehandipur Balaji. In the town of Mehandipur Balaji in Dausa district, the protest by traders against the unannounced power cuts ended after 9 hours on Wednesday. This protest was called off following the assurance of Sikray MLA Vikram Bansiwal. The electricity corporation assured the traders that the power problem of the town would be resolved within a month. Additionally, the approval for the power substation (GSS) would be obtained in 15 days. Earlier, the traders had started an indefinite closure of the market in the morning as they began their protest. MLA Vikram Bansiwal arrived at the protest site in the afternoon and warned the officials of the electricity corporation that if the traders' electricity issue was not resolved in a month, they would take actions that would be beyond their imagination. The Superintending Engineer of the electricity corporation, ML Meena, assured the traders that the power problem would be resolved within a month and that they would get the GSS approved in 15 days.
