Sojat City - SP of Pali, Pooja Awana, has revealed the breakthrough in the recent loot incident that took place three days ago at Kango ki Dheemdi in Bagdi Nagar, near Sojat. Two accused, Devendra Lohar of Sojat and Vikas Nayak of Rissaniya, have been arrested. The search for the remaining accused is ongoing. The incident occurred on Monday night when five masked miscreants broke into the house of 75-year-old Amarti Devi, assaulted her, and looted her gold and silver jewellery. The entire act was captured on the home’s CCTV camera. Following the incident, police teams reviewed CCTV footage and began an intensive search, eventually arresting two of the culprits. When one of the arrested men was presented to the victim for identification, the agitated Amarti Devi slapped him in anger. The investigation and arrests were made possible through the efforts of Sojat DySP Jethusingh Karnot, Bagdi SHO Bhanwarram, Mukesh Meena, ASI Ghanshyam, constables Bhagwanram and Govind, and others. Notably, SP Pooja Awana had taken charge of the Pali district just two days earlier. During her first visit to the Sojat CO office, she was welcomed by DySP Karnot and given a guard of honour. SP Awana stated that a special campaign would be launched to crack down on criminals and smugglers and curb rising crime in the region.
