Anta - Naresh Meena, the well-known youth leader who contested the Anta Assembly by-election as an independent, is facing fresh trouble. An FIR has been registered against him at the Sapotra police station for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. The case was filed based on a complaint by Vikas Singh, co-convener of the BJP District Legal Cell. The incident took place on November 21 during a massive mahapanchayat held in Gram Panchayat Jodli against the construction of the Dungri Dam, proposed under the Ram Jal Setu Link Project (PKC–ERCP). Addressing thousands of farmers and villagers, Naresh Meena had warned that if the construction begins, an all-out fight would be launched, even hinting at steps like stopping trains. It is alleged that during this speech, he made objectionable comments about the PM and CM. After videos of the incident surfaced, the controversy escalated. Complainant Vikas Singh claimed that Meena used language that insulted leaders holding constitutional positions, damaging public reputation and dignity of office. Police have registered the case and initiated an investigation based on the video evidence.
