A shocking incident from Ajmer, Rajasthan has created a stir across the state. Notorious Chambal dacoit Jagan Gurjar was murdered inside Ajmer High Security Jail, raising serious questions over prison security.
Jagan Gurjar, a resident of Dholpur district, was once considered one of the most feared names in the Chambal region. More than 100 criminal cases, including murder, kidnapping, extortion, robbery, and illegal weapons, were reportedly registered against him.
He had once made headlines after allegedly threatening former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, making him a highly controversial figure in state politics.
According to reports, on June 29, another inmate allegedly strangled Jagan Gurjar with a towel inside the jail barrack, leading to his death. Doctors later declared him dead.
After the incident, family members staged a protest outside JLN Hospital Ajmer and demanded a CBI investigation. His son has claimed that the family is under threat and has also demanded security for other relatives lodged in jail.
Now the biggest question remains…
How was one of Rajasthan’s most notorious criminals killed inside a high security prison? Was this just a murder… or part of a bigger conspiracy?
